Winemaker's tasting note:
The nose of the 2011 Westerhold Family Vineyards Syrah shows beautiful strawberry and Bing cherry scents, and has amazing complexity in the form of sandalwood, fresh mint and a bit of white pepper. Texturally, the wine is very round and supple, and the tannins are perfectly integrated at this point in time. The acidity is still fresh and a good complement to pork and lighter meats. The finish is long, and it slowly dissipates on the palate leaving you a remnant of the beautiful, fresh, clean flavors. ~ Russell Bevan, Winemaker
