Winemaker's tasting note:
The hallmark of the 2014 vintage for Pinot Noir is the amazing, rich textures that the wines developed. Our 2014 Westerhold Pinot Noir is a perfect example of the style. It has an amazing, round mid-palate texture that leads to substantial, but refined tannins and a long, lingering finish. Aromatically, the wine is like eating a bowl full of mixed berries in the middle of a eucalyptus grove - blackberry, cherry and a beautiful hint of spearmint that comes from the site. The flavor profile is perfectly in step with the aromatics - cherry, berries, all of the traditional Pinot Noir flavors come alive in the mouth. This is a wine that you will want to open as soon as you get it, and then share your other bottles with friends. ~ Russell Bevan, Winemaker
