Winemaker's tasting note:
The 2016 Westerhold Family Vineyards Chardonnay has an amazing richness to it. It almost feels more like a Grand Cru white Burgundy than it does a California Chardonnay. The aromatics start with pineapple and Meyer lemon, but it quickly gives you hints of freshly grilled bread. Again, it's the textures that make this wine so singular and fabulous. A massive mid palate and the long lingering finish makes this wine stand out. Surprisingly age worthy for a California Chardonnay, it will drink beautifully now and age gracefully for a decade. ~ Russell Bevan, Winemaker
